Utilizing the WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design & Assessment) English Language Development Standards Framework, we will review and discuss best practices in supporting Multilingual Learners in the classroom. Our focus will be on collaboration, preparation and implementation within Health/Science curriculum.   This session will be repeated.

In this presentation, I’ll share how using proficiency scales, high-level assignments, and tracking student data can foster student ownership and self-directed learning. By experimenting with new strategies, I increased my students’ scores by over 10%. We’ll also explore how AI tools can enhance learning and empower students. My goal is to challenge your teaching, offer fresh ideas, and inspire new strategies to implement in your classroom for the upcoming school year.
