About me
I’m entering my sixth year of teaching at Fremont High School, where I currently teach Biology, Chemistry, and Concurrent Enrollment Chem 1010. I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Governors University (WGU). Over the past several years, I've been actively involved in curriculum development and instructional leadership at multiple levels. At the district level, I’ve served as a Fellow for both Biology and Chemistry, contributing to various curriculum and instructional projects with Weber School District for the past four years. I’ve also collaborated with the Utah State Board of Education on chemistry assessment projects. I’ve been recognized by the district for my curriculum design and classroom structure, and I’ve had the privilege of mentoring new teachers as they begin their careers in Weber School District. In addition, I’ve hosted four student teachers and led professional development sessions with Weber School District for the past four years. I was honored to receive the Weber School District Science Fair Teacher of the Year award, recognizing my commitment to student success and science education. Beyond the science classroom, I also work in Driver Education and have played a key role in helping restructure and modernize the entire program to better meet student needs. Outside of school, I’ve been married for five years and am a proud father to a one-year-old daughter, with another baby girl on the way. In my free time, I enjoy exploring national parks, working with ceramics, riding motorcycles, and waterskiing.
